Job Description

Join our team of Landscape Architects and Project Managers as Senior Landscape Project Manager where you will lead the delivery of landscape and streetscape projects for the unit’s Capital Works program. You will oversee construction processes and provide specialist guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
You are required to deliver high-quality projects by managing consultants and contractors to achieve best practice public realm projects for Council.
In this senior role you are able to work autonomously and utilise strong decision making skills in the delivery of landscape and streetscape projects as well as support other team members with their project delivery and career progression. You take pride in ensuring a highly efficient delivery of operations and public realm projects is achieved. 

This is a temporary full time (2 year) position with an annual salary range of $105,785 - $117,494 11% superannuation and a monthly accrued day off. 

This is a hybrid role which means you can work both from home and within the office. We come together at least 3 days a week so we can collaborate in our vibrant office culture. When on site you are based within our bright, modern and sustainable 311 Glenferrie Road office on the corner of High Street and Glenferrie Road in Malvern where boutique stores, cafes and health clubs are in abundance. From the office you can easily walk to Malvern Gardens, High Street Armadale or Glenferrie Road. Malvern and Armadale Train Station are a short walk away and tram stops are out the front of the building.

Desired Skills and Experience

You have a minimum 7 years’ experience in the design and construction industry, working with local communities in an urban and open space environment. You excel in project, contract and financial management and have proven experience in delivering construction projects. Using excellent people skills you have the ability to negotiate, influence and facilitate positive and cooperative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
You have an innovative and independent work practice with a demonstrated ability to set priorities, meet tight deadlines and problem-solve despite conflicting pressures.

You also have:
•    Strong project management skills with the ability to lead design and construction processes for landscape and urban design projects. 
•    Experience in contract management and an understanding of governance structures. 
•    Well-developed administrative skills with proficiency in using relevant industry-related financial, design and drafting software.
•    A strong understanding of landscape architecture and construction management policies and practices, and the department’s contribution to broader organisational objectives.
