Job Description

The Leisure Services team manages some of Melbourne’s most renowned aquatic and recreation facilities, including the Harold Holt Swim Centre, Prahran Aquatic Centre, Stonnington Sports Centre, and Orrong Romanis Recreation Centre. These facilities welcome over 1 million visitors annually, serving as vital hubs for our vibrant community.

We are seeking a Marketing and Digital Communications Officer to play a key role in driving the success of Stonnington Leisure’s marketing and engagement initiatives. This position is integral to achieving our marketing goals, ensuring the continued growth and participation in our wide range of programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute communications plans that resonate with our community.
  • Lead creative marketing initiatives to boost engagement.
  • Manage content creation for digital and print platforms.
  • Oversee Social Media management and elevate our online presence.
  • Plan and execute events and activations that enhance participation.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a knack for digital engagement, and a creative mindset to positively influence participation and engagement in Stonnington Leisure’s diverse range of programs and services.

This is a permanent full-time role with a salary range of $72,804 - $77,133 + 11.5% Superannuation and an accrued day off 

Desired Skills and Experience

What You’ll Need to Thrive:

  • Relevant post-secondary qualifications in communications, marketing, digital communications, business, or public communications.
  • Experience in communications and marketing initiatives, particularly in the creation and delivery of engaging content.
  • Strong digital and social media management skills to enhance our online presence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to connect with a wide range of audiences.
  • A creative and proactive mindset to develop innovative marketing strategies.
