Job Description

As Administration Officer Liveability and Compliance you will provide administration support to the Liveability and Compliance team, effectively responding to requests, complaints and enquiries from residents, Councillors and staff, over the phone, email and on the front service counter.   You will also provide a high-level customer centric service to all customers and staff, optimising access to information and resources with the continued development of an efficient and effective customer service delivery. Additionally you will prepare quality and accurate documentation such as final certificates, permits and applications.

You will also:

•    Undertake the entry and dissemination of records and data with a methodical attention to detail.

This is permanent full time position with an annual salary range of $72,704 - $77,133 per annum + 11.5 % superannuation and a monthly accrued day off.

We come together at least 3 days a week so we can collaborate in our vibrant office culture. When on-site you will enjoy modern and sustainable facilities and office spaces. You are based within our bright, modern and sustainable 311 Glenferrie Road office on the corner of High Street and Glenferrie Road in Malvern where boutique stores, cafes and health clubs are in abundance.

From the office you can easily walk to Malvern Gardens, High Street Armadale or Glenferrie Road. Malvern and Armadale Train Station are a short walk away and tram stops are out the front of the building.

Desired Skills and Experience

To thrive in this role you have:

  • Demonstrated experience working in an administrative or customer focused role with well-developed administrative, organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in administration support role with demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office 
  • Excellent relationship building skills to achieve positive outcomes with a diverse range of stakeholders and a willingness to bring your best self and contribute within the administrative team.
  • Ability and desire to provide support to team members and positively contribute to the team culture. 
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, identify and solve issues with a view to developing recommendations. 
  • Demonstrated ability to extract, prepare and collate data for use in reporting and survey work. 
  • Excellent computer skills, including use of the Microsoft office Suite (experience in Trim and GIS highly desirable). 
  • Working knowledge of Local Government and post-secondary qualifications in business, administration, customer service or compliance are highly desirable.
