Are you a passionate and motivated Early Years leader looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity? We’re seeking an experienced team leader to join Princes Close on a temporary job-share basis, covering Thursdays and Fridays (8 hours per day) until February 2026. This role supports a leader on a flexible work arrangement and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a well-established early childhood setting.
In this role you'll
Lead and support a dedicated Early Years team, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues to enhance the learning experience.
Ensure compliance with national regulations, frameworks, and Victorian Child Safety Standards.
Manage daily operations, balancing priorities, multitasking, and overseeing team performance.
Contribute to a high-quality early learning program that nurtures children's development and wellbeing.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role while maintaining work-life balance. You’ll be part of a supportive and well-regarded early childhood setting, working collaboratively with a passionate team. The salary range for this position is $97,625 - $105,729 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation. As this is a part-time role (16 hours per week), your salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis, meaning your earnings will be adjusted according to the hours worked compared to a full-time position.
Desired Skills and Experience
What you’ll bring
Strong leadership experience in Early Years service management.
In-depth knowledge of national regulations, frameworks, and Victorian Child Safety Standards.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful connections with children, families, and colleagues.
Outstanding time management – juggling priorities in a dynamic environment.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need
Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) – a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education is highly desirable.
Proven experience in Early Years education and people management.
Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certification.
Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or VIT registration.
