Job Description

Are you ready to take the next step in your career and contribute to the smooth management of Council records? This temporary backfill role offers you the chance to develop your skills, collaborate with a supportive team, and gain valuable experience.

This temporary position (38 hours per week) runs until at least the end of January 2026, offering a competitive salary offering of $76,864 plus 12% superannuation.

As a Corporate Information Officer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely management of Council correspondence and records. Working within a fast-paced environment, you’ll have the opportunity to refine your expertise in records management, tackle meaningful challenges, and make a real impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Accurate and timely processing, classification, and registration of public records, predominantly incoming emails.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with the Public Records Office Victoria (PROV), Council policies, procedures, and confidentiality protocols.
  • Utilizing an Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS), preferably Content Manager (formerly known as TRIM).
  • Demonstrating effective time management skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Desired Skills and Experience

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Relevant experience and/or qualifications in Records Management (advantageous).
  • Proficiency in system management, including the efficient use of software platforms and tools relevant to the role.
  • Familiarity with electronic records management systems such as HPE TRIM (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy and address issues effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills to support colleagues and clients while fostering positive relationships.
  • Effective teamwork skills to contribute to a collaborative and productive work environment.
