As a key member of the Corporate Information leadership team, you will lead and deliver high-quality system support and administration for Council’s information and records management systems. This role is critical in supporting operations before and during the rollout of Council’s new core system, OneCouncil, ensuring a smooth transition and strong system foundations.
In this role you will:
Develop and implement the Systems Support work program, aligned with organisational priorities, while performing daily system administration tasks such as monitoring, reporting, auditing, metadata clean-up, and managing checked-out documents.
Manage user access, including the creation and review of locations, positions, permissions, and document security, and contribute to system upgrades, patches, testing, integrations, and name and address maintenance.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, or escalate to vendors and internal IT teams as needed, while supporting project teams with system administration expertise.
Create, analyse, and present reports to monitor trends, identify issues, and recommend improvements that enhance system performance and user experience.
Design and deliver training for new and existing staff using a hybrid (online and in-person) model, while also coaching and providing tools that build staff capability and compliance.
Support the investigation, evaluation, and implementation of new or improved systems and integrations, and perform general records management duties as required.
Contract Details
This is a full-time, 6-month fixed-term contract position, offering an annual salary of $111,411 + 12% superannuation.
Desired Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience in systems administration, with the ability to manage day-to-day functions, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to upgrades and integrations in a dynamic environment.
Sound knowledge of Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS), particularly Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platforms, and experience using Content Manager (formerly TRIM) for user administration, permissions, and metadata management.
Confidence in facilitating training sessions, both online and in person, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt content to varying levels of digital literacy.
A strong customer focus with a reputation for providing responsive, solutions-oriented customer service, particularly in high-volume or complex environments.
A solid understanding of records management principles and practices, and the ability to apply them in line with compliance, privacy, and information governance standards.
An eagerness to learn, improve processes, and contribute meaningfully to the success of the team and the broader organisation.
