In this rewarding role, you’ll lead a small, dedicated team to deliver safe, reliable transport for residents with limited mobility, age-related needs, or frailty. You’ll take ownership of service delivery — overseeing day-to-day operations, coordinating schedules, and stepping in to drive when needed. With a strong focus on empathy and customer care, you’ll help ensure each passenger experiences a journey that’s not just safe, but also comfortable and welcoming.
In this role, you will:
Lead, support and motivate a close-knit transport team, fostering a positive culture and ensuring smooth, friendly service
Use your organisational and tech skills to manage bookings, rostering, and customer information — ideally with experience using Carelink+ or similar systems
Confidently assess passenger needs, coordinate services, and identify any risks, including through phone-based support
Step in as a driver when required, transporting up to 17 passengers and ensuring all journeys meet safety standards and are delivered with care

Desired Skills and Experience
What you'll need to thrive:
Strong customer service and communication skills to engage confidently with our diverse community and team members over the phone and in person
Proficiency in Carelink+ rostering software and the Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to adapt to new programs swiftly
Knowledge of bus operations and safety requirements, including the maintenance, servicing, and record-keeping essential for safe and reliable transport
Effective collaboration skills to work with the Fleet Coordinator and Community Support Coordinator, ensuring timely reporting of maintenance needs and compliance with the Bus Safety Act 2009 and accreditation standards
