Job Description

We have an exciting 12-month temporary opportunity to join our Engagement team as an Engagement Practitioner (parental leave cover). This role is your chance to contribute to meaningful projects and help shape how the City of Stonnington connects with its community.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead engagement activities for key projects and strategic priorities.
  • Partner with Communications to create engaging, audience-focused content.
  • Coordinate seamless online and in-person events, from logistics to bookings.
  • Contribute to the development and rollout of Council’s engagement strategies.
  • Manage and maintain our Connect Stonnington online engagement portal.
  • Keep stakeholders informed with clear updates on engagement outcomes.
  • Produce detailed reports capturing successes and learnings.
  • Provide guidance to teams on embedding best-practice engagement.

Role details:

Temporary full-time (12 months)
Remuneration: $83,480 – $95,636 plus 12% superannuation and a monthly accrued day off (ADO)
