As part of our continued growth, we’ve created two new Communication & Content Business Partner roles to join our Operations Communication team and help shape how we share stories, celebrate achievements, and engage with residents, businesses, and local organisations.
In these roles, you’ll combine creativity, strategy, and collaboration to deliver communications that are clear, compelling, and reflective of our diverse community. You’ll have the opportunity to influence Council-wide messaging, develop innovative digital content, and ensure every story strengthens our connection with the people of Stonnington.
What you'll do:
Develop and implement communication strategies and plans that support Council projects and align with strategic objectives.
Lead the creation of high-quality written and visual content across multiple platforms, including news articles, media releases, social media, and digital campaigns.
Ensure content is consistent with Council branding, accessible, and tailored to resonate with diverse audiences.
Collaborate across departments to gather insights, maintain messaging consistency, and strengthen Council-wide communications.
Engage with the community through events, forums, and feedback mechanisms, ensuring resident voices inform communications.
Monitor analytics and community feedback to evaluate the impact of communications and refine strategies for continuous improvement.
Enhance our digital presence by optimising content for websites, social media, and other platforms while staying up to date with emerging trends and tools.
These full-time, permanent roles offer a competitive salary of $111,411 - $123,743 plus 12% super, along with a monthly accrued day off for a healthy work-life balance.
Desired Skills and Experience
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience in strategic communication, content creation, and storytelling across multiple platforms.
Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across teams and engaging the community.
A results-focused approach, using analytics and feedback to inform content and communication strategies.
