Job Description

Play a vital role in delivering safe, engaging and memorable events that bring the Stonnington community together. You’ll work hands-on to transform event plans into reality, contributing to experiences that inspire connection, enjoyment and pride in our city.

You will be responsible for:

  • Setting up and packing down event infrastructure, equipment and signage to ensure spaces are functional, safe and visually aligned with event plans
  • Coordinating suppliers, contractors and on-site teams to keep operations running smoothly and on schedule
  • Maintaining a safe and organised site during bump-in and bump-out, reducing risks and minimising disruption to the community
  • Providing responsive, on-the-ground support to resolve logistical challenges and ensure every detail meets quality standards

Enjoy a competitive casual rate of $36.43$38.57 per hour, plus 25% casual loading and superannuation.

You’ll need a practical, adaptable approach and a passion for delivering high-quality events that bring people together. You’ll be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoy problem-solving on the spot to ensure events run smoothly. You’ll also bring:

  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure every element of an event aligns with plans and standards
  • Strong communication skills to work confidently with suppliers, contractors, colleagues and the public
  • Excellent time management to prioritise tasks effectively during high-pressure situations
  • Physical stamina and resilience to meet the demands of hands-on event operations
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to step in wherever needed to support the team
  • A Working with Children Check (required) and a current Driver’s Licence (preferred)
