We’re looking for skilled Theatre Technicians to join our passionate team at Chapel Off Chapel. This is a great opportunity to be part of one of Melbourne’s most loved performance venues, supporting an exciting mix of productions, programs and events that celebrate creativity and community.
In this role you’ll:
• Set up and operate lighting, sound, vision and multimedia systems, ensuring every production runs seamlessly
• Maintain a safe and compliant working environment, upholding the highest technical and safety standards
• Design and operate audio and lighting systems to suit each unique production
• Collaborate with event hirers to bring their creative vision to life and deliver exceptional technical outcomes
• Provide hands-on technical support and supervision across a variety of live performances and events

Desired Skills and Experience
What you’ll need to succeed
• Industry experience in theatre or live entertainment, with a solid understanding of the fast-paced demands of live production
• Strong technical skills, including experience operating Yamaha audio desks and ETC lighting control systems, and a good working knowledge of audio and lighting networks
• A practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to think on your feet and work collaboratively within a team environment
• A strong commitment to safety, with an understanding of work health and safety practices in a theatrical setting and the ability to ensure all operations run safely and smoothly
