Parking Services Administrators are responsible for the day-to-day administration of parking infringements and parking permits. With strong communication skills and knowledge of relevant legislation, you will contribute to ongoing enforcement and road safety education initiatives which aim to create a safe environment for vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Key responsibilities of this position include providing an efficient and effective parking enforcement and administration service, contributing to continuous improvement and collaboration and providing an excellent customer service experience.
Key Responsibilities also include:
• Assess parking infringement appeals and ensure decisions are made in accordance with specified guidelines and Victorian Government Legislation and Regulations.
• Undertake further research and analysis of infringement notices and enforcement patterns where necessary.
• Assist in all aspects in the management of Council’s Resident Parking Permit Scheme.
• Accurately maintain physical and electronic infringement, enforcement, and parking permit records.
• Prepare correspondence, spreadsheets, and reporting on contractor compliance and performance.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of Legislation, Regulations, and Best Practice Guides
• Assist in the development and deployment of new parking enforcement or administration technology and systems.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiencies.
• Assist in the development of new policies and procedure documents.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent Council in a positive and professional manner when communicating with members of the community.
• Provide high quality and timely responses which clearly communicate decisions made.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to deal with personal and sensitive information in a professional and confidential manner.
Join us in this full-time permanent role, offering a competitive salary range of $83,480 - $95,636 plus 12% superannuation.
Desired Skills and Experience
What you’ll need to succeed:
• Deep understanding of relevant technologies, procedures, and processes specific to the operating unit for effective supervision and management.
• Strong grasp of the underlying principles of regulations, enabling accurate interpretation and application distinct from routine practices.
• Demonstrated work experience in enforcement or infringement administration that showcases applicable skills and knowledge.
• Competence in providing specialist advice or regulating client interactions within established guidelines, with an understanding of the implications of decisions and the ability to navigate appeals or reviews by senior staff
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud based systems, with a strong ability to apply these skills in a practical work setting.
