Job Description

  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness, performing waste collection duties and driving Stonington's waste collection vehicles
  • Carry out all duties efficiently, and in a safe and competent manner without risk to yourself or the community
  • Actively participate in the review of waste collection procedures and the implementation of improvement initiatives
  • This is a great role for someone who is a positive team player looking to work outdoors and take pride in contributing to the presentation of community area.

​​​​​​​This is a casual role with an hourly rate of $51.95 + 11% superannuation. You are based at our Tooronga Depot which is located next to Tooronga Train station and walking distance to Tooronga Village Shopping Centre. As a permanent employee you also get access to our wellbeing program and employee assistance counselling program.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Current and valid Victorian heavy rigid driver's licence.
  • Knowledge and ability to follow safe Manual Handling Techniques and Occupational Health and Safety standards.
  • Side and/or rear loader experience preferred but not essential. 
  • Skills to enable effective communication with management, staff and customers with regards to information needs
  • Proven ability to work safely with an outdoor works environment
