Job Description

We’re looking for an early childhood teacher to join our team at Princes Close Early Years Service, delivering a funded kindergarten program for children aged 3–5 years. This is a great opportunity to shape young minds through engaging learning experiences that encourage curiosity, development, and wellbeing.

You’ll work closely with families and fellow educators to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where every child feels supported and encouraged to thrive. Your passion for early education will help build a positive learning space that nurtures each child’s unique needs and interests.

What’s on offer
Fixed-term, full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Salary between $81,400 and $93,303, plus 11.5% superannuation and time in lieu

Desired Skills and Experience

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
A Degree in Early Childhood Education and experience teaching in a funded kindergarten program.
A collaborative mindset with a strong understanding of State and Federal policies, regulations, and compliance requirements for Early Years Services and Funded Kindergarten Programs.
A passion for working with children and families, with a commitment to equity, inclusiveness, Indigenous perspectives, and sustainable practices.

You’ll also need:
A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent
Current VIT registration
A current and valid Working with Children Check
First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in early childhood development and programming
